Praxeon (PTY) Ltd: Privacy Notice

Contents

1. Who we are

Praxeon (PTY) Ltd, registration number 2026/777182/07 ("Praxeon", "we", "us"), is the responsible party for personal information collected through https://praxeon.tech (the "Site").

Address: 1 Bentley Lane, Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa. Telephone: +27 11 656 1000. General email: [email protected].

Praxeon is a MASAV SA company.

2. Information officer and privacy requests

Our information officer is Tertius van Litsenborgh. To access, correct or delete your personal information, object to its processing, or withdraw consent, email [email protected] with "Privacy request" in the subject line. We may ask you to verify your identity first.

3. What we collect

a) Information you give us through the enquiry form: your name, email address, company (optional), the service you are interested in, the type of request (general enquiry, quotation or consultation request), and the message you write. Please do not include sensitive or financial information in the message.

b) Information you give us by email or telephone.

c) Technical information that our hosting and security providers receive when you visit the Site, such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and the pages and times of your requests. This is processed for delivery and security of the Site.

d) The Site itself does not set cookies and does not use advertising or analytics tools, and does not track you across other sites. When you use the enquiry form, a spam-protection widget from Cloudflare (Turnstile) runs in your browser. It processes technical signals such as your IP address, browser type and TLS fingerprint to tell people from automated programs, and it may store a small technical identifier in your browser's local storage to do so. It does not read what you type into the form.

4. Why we use it (purposes)

  • To respond to your enquiry, quotation request or consultation request.
  • To supply and administer services if you become a customer.
  • To keep the Site and our systems secure and prevent spam and abuse.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell or rent personal information. We will send you marketing only where the law allows it and you can opt out at any time.

5. Who receives it

Our service providers process information for us under their own security terms:

  • Microsoft (Microsoft 365 email), which receives and stores enquiry emails.
  • Resend, an email delivery provider, which transmits the enquiry from the Site to our mailbox.
  • Cloudflare, which hosts the Site, protects it, and provides Turnstile spam protection.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, to professional advisers, or to protect our rights. We may share your enquiry details with MASAV SA, of which Praxeon is a company, where needed to deal with your request. We do not share them with MASAV SA's other companies.

6. Transfers outside South Africa

Some of the providers above process or store information in countries outside South Africa: Resend stores message content and delivery logs in the United States, Cloudflare operates a global network, and Microsoft may do so depending on where our Microsoft 365 service is hosted. Where we send personal information to a recipient in another country, we do so only where (a) that recipient is bound by law, binding corporate rules or a written agreement that gives protection substantially similar to POPIA's conditions for lawful processing, or (b) the transfer is necessary to respond to your request. By submitting the enquiry form you acknowledge that your enquiry will be transmitted through these providers for that purpose. If you do not want your information to leave South Africa, please contact us by telephone or email instead of using the form.

7. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information for as long as necessary to deal with your request, to provide any resulting services, and as required by law. Our email and hosting providers may keep delivery and security logs for periods set by them.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.

9. Your rights

Under POPIA you may ask to know what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to processing, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. You may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa (https://inforegulator.org.za).

10. Changes

We will post changes on this page and update the date below.
